Level Up Village connects classrooms across countries, pairing students through project-based learning delivered on its own platform.
That platform ran on EC2 instances and tightly coupled resources. The setup had worked well for years, but the company wanted something lighter and quicker to deploy, one that could absorb the growth it expected rather than constrain it.
LUV needed to process large volumes of video content and serve it across many devices. Security mattered just as much: a global user base meant protecting sensitive data and maintaining privacy, with strong encryption both at rest and in transit.
They approached Cloudacio for a new infrastructure that could meet rising demand without carrying the constraints of the old architecture.
Cloudacio moved LUV to a microservice-oriented architecture for greater scalability, flexibility and security. Databases were decoupled onto Amazon RDS, the frontend was deployed with AWS Amplify, and the backend moved to Amazon ECS Fargate, with deployment pipelines built for each environment and application.
Encryption was applied across the whole platform: AWS Key Management Service for managing keys, Amazon S3 server-side encryption for stored data, and HTTPS enforced for data in transit.
For video, we replaced the legacy Elastic Transcoder with AWS MediaConvert and used AWS Lambda for processing, paired with S3 and CloudFront for secure storage and faster delivery worldwide.
"We couldn't be happier with our decision to partner with Cloudacio for the revamp of Level Up Village's platform. Their team of experts took the time to understand our specific needs and designed a robust, scalable, and secure infrastructure that exceeded our expectations. With Cloudacio's guidance, we were able to adopt cutting-edge AWS technologies that have propelled our platform to new heights."Alan Stoddard, Product Owner at Level Up Village
